
FERRUM, Va. - Ferrum College midfielder Stephanie Perih has been named to the 2007 Women's Lacrosse College Division All-State second team, as selected by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.

Perih set two school records this season with 47 goals and 52 points. Ferrum's '07 scoring leader, Perih finished second in the USA South Athletic Conference in goals per game (3.36) and sixth in points per game (3.71).
Perih was a USA South first team All-Conference selection this year. It was her third year being named to the All-Conference team, earning honorable mention in 2005 and 2006. This is Perih's first All-State honor. She joins Ginni Matern, a second team selection in 2004, as only the second player ever from Ferrum to earn All-State recognition.
A two-sport student-athlete at Ferrum, Perih earned All-Conference second team honors in women's soccer last fall. She has played soccer and lacrosse at Ferrum three seasons each.
