Women's Soccer Falls at Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Ferrum College women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Greensboro College this afternoon in USA South Athletic Conference action on the road.

Box Score:  Greensboro 2, Ferrum 0

Mary Sandifer scored the eventual game-winner for Greensboro at 70:58 off an assist from Tessa Hall.  Hall scored an insurance goal at 79:59 off an assist from Melissa Gallaher.

Greensboro (4-7-2, 1-3-1 USA South) out-shot Ferrum 19-1.  The Pride took five corner kicks to Ferrum's none.

Katie Hodkinson played all 90 minutes for Ferrum and made eight saves.  Katie Alegro went the distance for Greensboro, making one save.

Ferrum (2-8-1, 1-3 USA South) returns to action Monday, Oct. 13, at Hollins University.  The non-conference match gets underway at 4 p.m. in Roanoke, Virginia.
