NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Ferrum College fell 74-63 in men's basketball to Skidmore College this afternoon in the title game of the New York University Invitational.

Daryl Hart led Ferrum with 20 points on 6-10 shooting, including three treys.  Derek Mitchell had 10 points and nine rebounds.  Hart and Mitchell were both named to the All-Tournament Team.  The Panthers won the battle of the boards 32-30.

Skidmore (3-0) was led by Jeff Altiomar's 15 points.  Brian Lowry and Jon Douglas had 12 and 10 points, respectively.  Skidmore led 40-32 at the break. 

Ferrum (1-3) returns to action Wednesday, Nov. 25, at home against Eastern Mennonite University.  The non-conference game tips off at 1 p.m. at Swartz Gym.
