FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College handed Methodist University a 75-58 USA South Athletic Conference men's basketball loss this afternoon at home.

The Panthers jumped out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back, eventually widening the first-half lead to 19 points twice.

Jerrell Wade had a double-double with 10 assists to go with his game-high 19 points.  Henry Hall had 14 points and Nick English had 12.

Methodist (0-11, 0-1 USA South) was led by Tanner Carnes, who had 18 points on 8-14 shooting. The Monarchs also got 12 points and seven rebounds from Tyler Sigman.

Ferrum (7-7, 1-1 USA South) will be back in action Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Greensboro College. The USA South doubleheader tips off at 5:30 p.m. with the women's game and will be followed immediately by the men's game.
