FERRUM, Va. -- Kara Pegram and Natalie Olson scored second-half goals to help Ferrum College erase a 2-0 halftime deficit and tie Greensboro College 2-2 after two overtime periods.  The USA South match was the first of six Ferrum contests on campus during Homecoming Weekend '10.

Meredith Kelly and Sarah Lang scored goals in the 26th and 39th minutes, respectively, for Greensboro.  The Pride are currently ranked #8 in the NSCAA South Region coaches poll.

The goals held up until Pegram scored off a cross at 51:28 after beating the last Greensboro defender.  Casey Johnson was credited with the assist.

Olson then took a free kick, and when her shot deflected off the cross bar, it struck Greensboro goalkeeper Katie Allegro in the back and bounced in for a goal at the 81:11 mark.

Both teams had scoring opportunities in the two 10-minute overtime periods, but neither could cash in and earn the golden-goal finish.

Katie Hodkinson made four saves, playing all 110 minutes in net for Ferrum (7-2-1, 1-1-1 USA South). Allegro played all 110 minutes in net for the Pride (6-2-1, 2-0-1 USA South), making five stops.

Ferrum plays again Sunday at home against USA South opponent Methodist University. Game time is 2 p.m. at Penn-Roediger Field.
