FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a 2-0 USA South men's soccer match to visiting Methodist University in the regular-season finale for both teams Oct. 30 at Penn-Roediger Field. 

Eric McGinnis and Graham Vestal tallied goals for the Monarchs in the 17th and 25th minutes of play, respectively.  Clayton Newton was credited with the assist on McGinnis' goal, while Brion Kelly earned the assist on Vastal's goal.

Chris Taylor and Ben Pittsley split time in net for the Panthers (4-11-2, 1-4-1 USA South) with no saves in 45 minutes each.  Kyle Beach played all 90 minutes for the Monarchs (10-8, 3-3 USA South), making two saves.

Ferrum will compete next week in the 2010 USA South Tournament, playing on the road in the quarterfinals Tuesday, Nov. 2.
