DANVILLE, Va. -- Nathan Brown had a pair of goals as Averett University shut out Ferrum College 5-0 in USA South men's soccer action.  Kevin Vigebo had a pair of assists for the Cougars (10-5-2, 2-3-1 USA South).

Averett outshot Ferrum 29-6 and closed with a 13-3 advantage in corner kicks.  Walter Romano and David Gupta combined for five saves for the Panthers.  Nata Barker and Justin Duksis split time in net, with Barker making no saves and Duksis one.

Ferrum (3-11-3, 0-4-1 USA South) returns to action Saturday, Oct. 29, at Methodist University.  The USA South game gets underway at 12 p.m. in Fayettville, North Carolina.
