FERRUM, Va. -- Nadja Sandau had a pair of goals as Averett University (13-3, 7-2) shut out Ferrum College 4-0 in USA South women's soccer action tonight at Penn-Roediger Field.

The Cougars jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals by Pernilla Milton and Sandau at 34:19 and 34:43.  Sandau scored her second goal of the night at 40:27, with an assist from Emma Brady, and the Cougars enjoyed a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Annika Rindestedt tallied the fourth and final goal of the night off an assist from Sandra Johansson at 70:59.  Caitlyn Deaton made five saves in net for the Panthers (9-7-2, 5-3-1 USA South).  Samantha Lupo and Malin Borjesson split time in net evenly for Averett (13-3, 7-2 USA South), with Borjesson making four saves.  The Cougars outshot Ferrum 15-6 and held a slight edge in corner kicks, 3-2.
