BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Host Bridgewater College beat Ferrum College 3-0 this afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action in the first day of action at the Upper 90 Challenge in the Valley.

Daniel Visone, Sawyer James and Ryan Tavernaris each scored for the Eagles. Ryan Tavernaris and Nathan Tavernaris were each credited with an assist.

Backup GK David Gupta played 81 minutes in net for Ferrum (1-3-1), logging five saves.  Tariq Martin played all 90 minutes in the Eagles' net and made six saves.  Ferrum is back in action Sunday against Randolph-Macon College at 3:30 p.m. in Bridgewater.
