FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a tight 3-2 USA South volleyball match to Mary Balwdin College tonight at Swartz Gym.  Set scores were 28-26, 21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Kayla Trippeer had 16 kills and 16 digs in the loss, while Leah Quinones had 25 assists.  Kellee Lewis had 17 digs for Ferrum.  Rachel Stratton and Jordan Link had six kills each.

Mary Baldwin got 14 kills from Kharla Bethea, 13 from Tiffany Flesher and 12 from LaToya Diggs.  Diggs also had 12 digs, while Paige Babb had 43 assists.  Candace Pettway had 20 digs for the Fighting Squirrels (2-14, 1-7 USA South)

Ferrum (0-13, 0-9 USA South) is back in action Thursday, Sept. 29, at home against Eastern Mennonite University.  The non-conference match gets underway at 7 p.m. at Swartz Gym.
