Adair Steps Down at Ferrum

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College has announced that Coach Shelbylynn Adair will step away from her post as Head Women's Volleyball Coach.

Adair joined the Ferrum athletic staff in June 2022, and spent the past four seasons leading the women's volleyball program. The Panthers closed out the 2025 season at Chowan University November 11 on the road. Four Panthers earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District this season, and two players earned Academic All-District from Conference Carolinas.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as Head Volleyball Coach at Ferrum College," said Adair. "It has been a true privilege to be part of the Panther family over the past four years. I am deeply thankful for the relationships built with our student-athletes, alumni, donors, faculty and staff, and the greater Ferrum community. My time at Ferrum College will always hold a special place in my heart."

The College has begun an immediate search for its next head women's volleyball coach.
