LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Ferrum College volleyball team suffered a straight-set loss (17-25, 18-25, 13-25) on the road Wednesday night to Randolph College. The Panthers drop to 0-2 on the year, while the WildCats remain unbeaten at 4-0.
Leah Quinones led the Black and Gold with 13 assists. Newcomers Jordan Link (seven digs) and Kalayna Cassady (four kills) led Ferrum in their respective categories.
Jordan Templin tied for game-high honors with eight kills, while attacking at a .727 clip. Shana Nelson also put down eight kills for Randolph, while Kerry McMichael dished out a game-high 31 assists.
The Panthers return to the pitch Saturday, September 7, for an 11 a.m. matchup with Hollins University.
