MARYVILLE, Tenn. -- Jayne Campbell scored the lone goal for #7 seed Ferrum College in a 4-1 USA South Women's Soccer Tournament quarterfinal loss to #2 Maryville College tonight on the road.  The game was tied with less than 19 minutes remaining in regulation when the Scots erupted for three more goals.

Following a scoreless first half, Ashley Howarth scored the first of her three goals in the 66th minute of play.  Campbell knotted the score at 1-1 when she poked a shot past Maryville goalkeeper Michelle Foulke at the 69:41 mark.  Less than two minutes later, Howarth struck again, scoring the eventual game-winner in the 72nd minute of play.

Sierra Siegel added an insurance goal at 82:14, and Howarth completed the rare hat trick at 86:56.  Caitlyn Deaton played 88 minutes in net with four goals allowed and nine saves.  Chelsea Wingate played the final two minutes, collecting no saves.  Foulke went the distance in net for Maryville (10-3-1) with seven saves.

The Scots advance to Friday's semifinals, where they will meet #3 Christopher Newport University at Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville, Virginia.  The top four seeds in the USA South Tournament advanced to the semifinals.

Ferrum closes its season at 8-11 under first-year Head Coach Liesl Narrow.  Seniors Casey Johnson, Maryann Castaneda and Kara Pegram closed out their careers with the program.
