Jamal Pullen had a season-high 25 points but the Ferrum College men's basketball team dropped a USA South Athletic Conference men's basketball game, 73-60, to Methodist University tonight on the road.
J.D. Wallace added 10 points for Ferrum (9-9, 6-3 USA South). Brandon Monk had 11 points and Austin Pack had 10 points for the Monarchs. Methodist (8-12, 5-4 USA South) led 36-31 at halftime.
Ferrum returns to action Saturday, Feb. 2, at home against LaGrange College. Prior to the game, the College will honor former standout and All-American Derek Mitchell in retiring his jersey #33. The USA South game tips off at 4:00 p.m. Mitchell close out his career in 2011 as Ferrum's #2 all-time scorer.
