LaGRANGE, Ga. --
Jamal Pullen had a game-high 16 points to help lift Ferrum College to a 66-54 men's basketball win over USA South Athletic Conference newcomer LaGrange College this afternoon on the road.
Pullen was 7-11 from the floor, 2-2 from the free throw line and pulled down seven rebounds.
Lamont King added 15 points and seven rebounds, and added two assists and two blocked shots.
J.D. Wallace added 10 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals in the league win.
Charles Warren came off the bench to post nine points, six rebounds and a blocked shot in 18 minutes of play for the Panthers.
Donte Thomas added seven points, and
Brian Clarke had six points, four assists and a steal.
LaGrange (7-3, 1-1 USA South) got 12 points and seven rebounds from Denzel Robinson. Marcus Vaughn added 10 points in the loss. Ferrum led 28-23 at the break, and won the battle of the boards 46-34.
Ferrum (6-6, 3-1 USA South) returns to the hardwood Wednesday, Jan. 9, at home against Averett University. The USA South game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. in Swartz Gymnasium.
