FERRUM, Va. --
Jamal Pullen had 25 points and seven rebounds to lead Ferrum College past Goucher College 101-72 in non-conference men's basketball action this afternoon at Swartz Gymnasium. Pullen was 10-17 from the floor and 5-5 from the free throw line.
The Panthers led 47-34 at halftime before using a 14-7 run to extend the lead. Coach Bill Tharp's team then went on a 13-6 run to pull away for the win.
Tyler Mann had 21 points, sinking five of seven three-point attempts.
Brian Clarke had 16 points and 13 assists, and
Alek Ayer had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Panthers.
Jesse Mondry led the Gophers (2-2) with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Julian Livingston added 13 points and Troy DeShields had 11 points in the loss.
Ferrum (3-1) returns to action Tuesday, Nov. 26, at home against Eastern Mennonite University. The non-conference game tips off at 4:00 p.m. in Swartz Gym.
