FERRUM, Va. -- Morgan Funck posted her second hat trick this season with three goals in Ferrum College's 3-1 non-conference women's soccer win over Emory & Henry College tonight at Penn-Roediger Field. Funck scored in the 39th, 45th and 60th minutes of play, the final coming on a penalty kick after she was dragged down in the box.

Erin Kirk had the lone goal for the Wasps (0-6). Funck also had three goals in a 5-1 win over Hollins University Sept. 4 at home. Through five games, Funck has eight goals, one assist and 17 points.

Caitlyn Deaton stopped five shots, playing all 90 minutes in net for Ferrum. Sarah Jerome made four saves for Emory & Henry. Ferrum (3-2) returns to action Sept. 20 at home against Piedmont College.
