CONCORD, W.Va. -- Ryan Forde scored a pair of goals to lift Concord University to a 3-0 non-conference men's soccer win over Ferrum College this afternoon. Patrick Ebbs scored the other goal in the season-opener for the Mountain Lions.
Forde's goals came in the 38th and 47th minutes of play, while Ebbs notched his goal at 68:09 for Concord.
Justin Robinson played 84 minutes in net, allowing three goals and making three saves. Joseph Martin played the finsl six minutes with no goals and no saves. Mitchell Thompson played all 90 minutes for the Mountain Lions (1-0).
Ferrum (2-1) returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 11, at home against Emory & Henry College. The non-conference doubleheader begins at 4:30 p.m. at Penn-Roediger Field with the Ferrum and E&H women's game, followed by the men's game at 7:00 p.m.
