HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Cayla Garner and Emma Beachy had a goal each to lift Eastern Mennonite University to a 2-0 non-conference women's soccer win over Ferrum College this afternoon.

Morgan Hill was credited with an assist on Garner's goal in the 17th minute of play. Beachy notched her goal in the 56th minute to complete scoring. Rebecca Borg made three saves for the Royals (3-0), while Megan Glover made two for the Panthers (2-2).

Ferrum plays next on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at home against Emory & Henry College. The non-conference doubleheader begins at 4:30 p.m. at Penn-Roediger Field with the Ferrum and E&H women's game, followed by the men's game at 7:00 p.m.
