FERRUM, Va. -- Five players scored in double digits as Ferrum College edged Huntingdon College 94-90 in USA South Athletic Conference men's basketball action this afternoon at at Swartz Gymnasium.
Tyler Mann led the Panthers with 23 points shooting 7-11 from the field while
Brian Clarke added 16 points, eight assists, and three steals.
Jamal Pullen added 18 points and two assists for Ferrum.
The Panthers were able to hold on to their lead towards the end of the game by shooting 81% from the free-throw line in the second half.
Huntingdon's Austin Hall produced 31 points and was 4-6 from behind the three-point line. Jerome Davis added 13 points and Dantavious Washington added 12 points for the Hawks (1-10, 1-2 USA South).
Ferrum (5-9, 1-3 USA South) will return to action Sunday, Jan. 19, playing the second game of a double-header against LaGrange College. The women tip off at 1:00 p.m., and will be followed immediately by the men at 3:00 p.m. at Swartz Gymnasium.
