Nick Smith had five goals but Ferrum College still fell 15-9 on the road to Guilford College in non-conference men's lacrosse action this afternoon at Armfield Athletic Center.
Andrew Senft had a goal and three assists for Ferrum, while
Tyler Poage,
Will Walter and
Nick Carlson had a goal each.
Damian Pulos played all 60 minutes in net for Ferrum (0-2), making seven saves.
Dylan Haupt had four goals and two assists, and Daniel Hughey had three goals and three assists. Adam Fiore had two goals and three assists, and Duncan Fitzgerald had three goals. GK Thomas Deane made 12 saves for the Quakers (1-0).
Ferrum (0-2) returns to action Sunday, Feb. 22, at Christopher Newport University. The non-conference game gets underway at 1:00 p.m. in Newport News, Virginia.
