WESTMINSTER, Md. -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference men's lacrosse game this afternoon on the road, falling 12-7 to McDaniel College at Gill Stadium.
Ferrum led 3-0 after the first quarter, but McDaniel stormed back to outscore the Panthers 7-1 in the second quarter en route to a 7-4 halftime lead.

Ryan Higgins each notched a goal early in the third quarter for Ferrum to cut the lead to one, but McDaniel netted three straight to take a 10-6 lead at the 10:39 mark of the fourth quarter.
Daniel Batong closed the gap with a goal at 6:31, but the Green Terror responded with two goals over the next three minutes for the final count. Batong closed with two goals and an assist to lead Ferrum, while Smith had a pair of goals. Matt Dupras and Timothy McNichol had three goals each for the Green Terror (3-3).
Ferrum (1-8) returns to action Wednesday, March 19, at home against Bridgewater College. The non-conference game gets underway at 4:00 p.m. at W.B. Adams Stadium. Coach Mark Frey's team then travels to Saint Vincent College Saturday, March 22, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
