Ethan Wakefield had three goals each to lead Ferrum College to a 15-10 non-conference men's lacrosse win over Randolph College tonight at Wildcat Stadium. The win was Ferrum's fourth straight.
The Panthers opened a 2-0 lead early on when
Daniel Batong and
Will Walter scored a goal each. Ferrum would go on to take a commanding 8-2 lead into halftime.
Jake Hayden scored with seven seconds left in the third quarter to give Ferrum its largest lead at 14-3.
Walter closed the game with a pair of goals.
Damian Pulos played 47 minutes in net for the Panthers (5-8), stopping 10 shots.
John Michael Smith played the other 13 minutes and made three saves. Andrew Risse had three goals for the Wildcats (3-5) and Cam Davis played all 60 minutes in net with 12 saves.
Ferrum (5-8) plays next on Saturday, April 5, at Piedmont College. The non-conference game is scheduled to start at 11:00 am.m in Demorest, Georgia.
