FERRUM, Va. -- Charles Stringfellow scored an unassisted goal with 1:57 left in regulation to lift Greensboro College to a 14-13 non-conference men's lacrosse win over Ferrum College this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium.
The Panthers led 11-8 with five minutes left in the third quarter, only to see the Pride close out the game with a 6-2 run.
Andrew Senft led the Panthers with three goals, while
Ryan Tesler and
Nick Smith had two goals each. Goalkeeper
Damian Pulos played all 60 minutes in net for Ferrum, posting 14 saves.
Brodie Ceperich and Scott Showalter had a pair of goals each to lead Greensboro (5-7). Matt Dittemore played 49 minutes in net with six saves. Jesse Duczeminsky played the final 11 minutes between the pipes, stopping two shots.
Ferrum (6-10) will close out the season Saturday, April 19, at home against Methodist University. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
