Morgan Funck records her 5th career hat-trick with three goals in Ferrum College's USA South Athletic Conference women's soccer win over Averett University tonight at Penn-Roediger Field.

How It HappenedAnnalies Jobsis opened the scoring early in the seventh minute for the Cougars. However Funck tied it up at 1-1 for the Panthers on a penalty kick just before halftime. Funck notched another goal just after halftime, in the 48th minute and the Panthers never looked back, scoring three more goals before the Cougars were able to answer back with one of their own from Skye Gunn in the 73rd minute. Funck completed her hat-trick just seven seconds later with the assist coming from Kayla Lindsey. Amanda Gustavsson tried to change the momentum for Averett by scoring in the 80th minute, but the Cougars sealed their fate with an own goal in the 88th minute.
