Panther Women Snap Skid with 1-0 Win

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- Alexis McCargo's goal in the 62nd minute of play was all Ferrum College would need to earn a 1-0 USA South Athletic Conference women's soccer win over North Carolina Wesleyan College this afternoon at Scalf Field. The win snapped a four-game losing streak.

How It Happened
McCargo beat two defenders and put a shot past N.C. Wesleyan goalkeeper Vanessa Batchelor at the 61:47 mark and the Panther defense did the rest. Ferrum outshot the Bishops 14-12 and closed with a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
