ASHLAND, Va. --
Tyler Fullem had three goals as Ferrum College fell 16-7 to Randolph-Macon College this afternoon on the road in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Day Field.
Ryan Davidson broke a 1-1 tie in the first quarter with a pair of goals to spot the Yellow Jackets a 3-1 lead at the end of the quarter. Fullem scored early in the second quarter to trim the lead to 3-2, only to see Randolph-Macon score three in a row for a 6-2 lead.
Marcus Boyer found the back of the net with 14 seconds left in the quarter, and the lead was 6-3 RMC at halftime.
Randolph-Macon outscored Ferrum 5-3 in the third quarter and led 11-6, then poured it on with five more goals in the fourth to Ferrum's one.
John Michael Smith played all 60 minutes in net for the Panthers, posting 15 saves. Davidson, Miles Muncie and Coleman Adams had three goals each for Randoplh-Macon (3-5), while GK Brian Davies made 14 stops.
Ferrum (2-5) will play next on Saturday, March 14, at home against McDaniel College. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at W.B. Adams Stadium. Live stats and video will be available for the game at the links below.
