FERRUM, Va. -- Calvin Fleagle had five goals and two assists to lead McDaniel College to a 14-6 non-conference men's lacrosse win over Ferrum College this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium.
McDaniel opened a 3-0 lead early on before
Tyler Fullem would get the Panthers on the board with a goal at 9:00 of the first quarter. The Green Terror came back to post four unanswered goals and take a 7-1 halftime lead. The lead was 10-5 at the end of the third quarter, but McDaniel ended with a 4-1 run to close out the game.
Timothy McNichol had three goals for the Green Terror (3-2), and starting goalkeeper Eric Ritchie played 50 minutes witrh seven saves. Michael Carlino played the final 10 minutes with two stops.
Tyler Poage had a pair of goals for the Panthers, while GK
John Michael Smith made seven saves playing 54 minutes in net. Ferrum (2-6) is back in action Monday, March 16, at home against Hope College beginning at 3:00 p.m.
