DANVILLE, Va. -- Kyle Vidano's single through the left side in the bottom of the 10th inning drove in the game-winning run to give Averett University a 7-6 USA South baseball win this afternoon over Ferrum College and tied the three-game series at a game each.

Clay Massie went 3-3 with a double and a run for the Panthers (8-6, 7-4 USA South). Ferrum starter Dillon Weaver pitched five innings and allowed six hits, while striking out six batters. Timmy Coston went 3-4 with a double, two runs, two RBI and a stolen base for the Cougars (7-4, 5-3 USA South). The two teams will play the third and final game of the series Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Danville.
