FERRUM, Va. -- Payton Stuart had a goal and an assist to help lead Ferrum College to a 3-1 USA South Athletic Conference women's soccer win over visiting Averett University tonight at Penn-Roediger Field.

THE BASICS
Chantavy Crespin scored at 3:58 off a pass from Stuart to spot the Panthers a 1-0 lead. Stuart then found the back of the Averett net at 49:12 off a pass from Alexis McCargo. Chloe Hudson then ripped a shot off her own deflected shot past Cougar goalkeeper Bailee Brown at 77:29 and the Panthers held a commanding 3-0 lead. Riley Smith nothced a goal in the 84th minute to help Averett avoid the shutout.
