Ferrum Women Fall 3-0 to Greensboro in USA South Tournament First Round

FERRUM, Va. -- Anna Rae Porcelli had a goal and an assist to lead #6 East seed Greensboro College to a 3-0 win over #3 East Ferrum College in first-round play of the 2016 USA South Women's Soccer Tournament.

THE BASICS
Porcelli scored what would become the game-winning goal in the 12th minute of play when she took a shot that bounced off Ferrum goalkeeper Taylor Dodson, then she poked the rebound into the back of the net. Samara Alba added an unassisted goal at 34:42 and the Pride led 2-0 at halftime. Briana Huber added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute, and the Greensboro defense did the rest to preserve the shutout.
