FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College led by 20 points after one quarter en route to an 85-39 USA South Athletic Conference women's basketball blowout over visiting William Peace University tonight at Swartz Gym.

How It HappenedZarkia Mattox barely missed her eighth double-double of the season when she recorded 17 points and nine rebounds in just 21 minutes on the floor. The Panthers widened the lead to 43-29 at halftime and never looked back. Ferrum played 13 players, with almost all seeing 10 minutes of action, and 12 scoring.
