Game OneFerrum broke a 1-1 tie by scoring seven runs in the third inning and five more in the fourth, in a game that was halted after five innings.
Amanda Roberts (W, 8-4) scattered six hits over five innings to get her eighth win of the year. Roberts also went 2-4 with a double, a run and two RBI.
Mika Smith went 3-3 with two doubles, 1 run and five RBI.
Game TwoJessica Griffin had a grand slam home in the third inning for the Cougars to break a 1-1 tie, then held on for the win. Mary Beth Smith (W, 14-6) struck out six to get the win, allowing four hits over seven innings.
Courtney Rudd (L, 7-5) struck out seven in seven innings but earned the loss.
Aiyana Lew went 2-4 for the Panthers with a double and a run.
