MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Ferrum College picked up a 69-67 USA South Athletic Conference men's basketball win over Huntingdon College in two overtimes this afternoon at Roland Arena.

THE BASICS
Ferrum led 39-30 at the break, then widened the lead to 17 points in the second half when
Carrington Young's layup at 12:33 made it 50-33. The Hawks roared back with a 21-6 run over the next 12 minutes to tie the game at 56-56 at 1:37.
Josh Grimard's layup at 0:37 made it 58-56 Ferrum, but Huntingdon's Brandon McLean was fouled and sank a pair of free throws with 25 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.
In the first OT, Ferrum led 65-62 with 10 seconds left to play when KK Franklin drilled a three-pointer to lock things up at 65-65. In the second OT,
D'Andre Mullen made a layup at 2:29 and
Marcus Huff converted a pair of free throws with 1:48 remaining. Andre Ashley added a pair of free throws for Huntingdon in the waning moments, but the Panthers held on for the win.
