DANVILLE, Va. -- The Ferrum College women's soccer team snapped a three-game skid with this afternoon's USA South road win over Averett University, posting a 3-0 shutout over the Cougars at Campbell Stadium.

THE BASICS
Alex Mattson scored what proved to be the game-winner 11 minutes into the game off a cross from Chloe Hudson. Aina Tuck and Ysabella Bettilyon added insurance goals in the 35th and 81st minutes, respectively, with assists from Jenna Janicki and Gabriella Kermon. Ferrum out-shot Averett 25-7, and each team took four corner kicks.
