DANVILLE, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped game two of a three-game USA South baseball series at Averett University, falling 5-4 this afternoon at Owen-Fulton Field.

THE BASICS
Kyle Anstice drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, then
Ty Comer scored on a fielding error in the third inning to put the Panthers out in front 2-0. Averett scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, and one each in the seventh and eighth innings to build a 5-2 lead.
Lane Deaver's RBI single in the ninth inning drove in a pair of runs, but Ferrum would get no more.
