BEHIND THE WHISTLE
"Our goal is to always play to our standard. So it's not really about the competition. It's about playing as well as we're capable of playing and doing so on a consistent basis. I think the team played well today, and I'm proud of them. After any game there's a mental, emotional, and physical recovery period. I think it usually takes a good 48 hours to get back up to speed. However, this weekend we don't have that luxury. We need to be able to handle the short turnaround and come ready to go tomorrow. I think it's good preparation for the postseason, and I think the program is up to the task." -- Head Coach James Lofton

NEXT GAME
Lofton's team will host Shenandoah University, Saturday, Oct. 13. The ODAC game gets underway at 4:00 p.m. This is a make-up game from whem the two teams met on Sept. 22 in Ferrum and the contest was postponed after 36 minutes of play. The game was not able to be restarted within the NCAA three-hour window and was eventually canceled following multiple lightning delays.
