Zarkia Mattox's 34-point performance, Ferrum College picked up a USA South women's basketball road win this afternoon over William Peace University, winning 78-62 at Hermann Athletic Center.

THE BASICS
The Panthers jumped out to a 15-8 lead mid-way through the first quarter and never trailed from there. William Peace cut the lead to 23-22 at 7:10 of the second quarter, but Ferrum responded with an 11-0 run over the next five minutes to widen the lead to 34-22. The Pacers trimmed the lead to 54-50 with 29 seconds left in the third quarter, but that was as close as they would get.

Bryan Harvey. "We were able to finish off the regular season with a win and earn a share of the regular season division title. I think we're playing the best we've played all year. We hope our good play will carry over to the postseason."
