FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a USA South Athletic Conference men's basketball game this afternoon at home, falling 84-73 to visiting LaGrange College at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
LaGrange led 6-0 less than three minutes into the game, then widened the gap to 17 points when Jack McCormack drilled a three-pointer from the right side for a 22-5 lead at 11:58 of the first half. The Panthers went on a 31-20 run to close out the half down 42-36. Ferrum pulled to within six points twice early in the second half, but never made a serious threat as LaGrange led by as many as 18 points late in the game. LaGrange dominated the glass, out-rebounding Ferrum 43-18.
D'Andre Mullen was 10-17 from the floor for a career-high 28 points for Ferrum.
