EMORY, Va. --Ayanna Virgin made her first two collegiate goals count, posting both in the first seven minutes of play to lift Ferrum College to a 4-1 women's soccer win in its Old Dominion Athletic Conference debut tonight at Fred Selfe Stadium.

THE BASICS
Virginia scored her first goal 3:07 into the game off a pass from Casey Raggett. She then poked a rebound off her own shot into the net past E&H goalkeeper Kieran Liseki less than three minutes later and the Panthers took the 2-0 lead into halftime. Gillian Hogg helped Emory & Henry avoid the shutout with an unassisted goal in the 50th minute of play when she corralled a rebound off her own shot and found the back of the Ferrum net. Alexis McCargo and Frances Best netted Ferrum's other two goals in the 61st and 80th minutes of play, respectively, McCargo off another Raggett pass and Best off a cross from the left side by Brianna Honse.
