FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College will host Hampden-Sydney College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference men's basketball action tonight at Swartz Gym.
Head Coach Tyler Sanborn and his staff has designated the game as a Blackout Night and request fans wear black to the game.
Tonight's game is the second time Ferrum and Hampden-Sydney have faced each other this season. Ferrum beat the Tigers 85-80 Dec. 15 on the road in front of a crowd of 252 fans at Fleet Gymnasium in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia.
Hampden-Sydney's Chaise Johnson led all scorers with 23 points, going 6-7 from the floor with a pair of three-point baskets, and was a perfect 9-9 from the charity stripe
Four Panthers scored in double figures, led by Rashad Reed's 19 points and four three-pointers. Marcus Huff had 18 points, including four three pointers, Carrington Young had 15 points and Marcus Plair chipped in 14 points. Ferrum led 41-30 at the break, and the Tigers won the battle of the boards 38-37.
The Panthers bring a 3-15 overall and 2-7 ODAC record into the game. The Tigers are 4-11 overall, 1-7 in league play. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. tonight at Swartz Gym. Live stats and video will ve available at the following links: Stats | Video
