Box Score FERRUM, Virginia -- The Ferrum College men's basketball team fell at home against Old Dominion Athletic Conference foe Roanoke College, 80-67, Wednesday night inside Swartz Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
The Panthers held the lead through most of the first half, with the biggest lead being 20-16 at the 12:43 mark in the first half. Rashad Reed got off to a hot start for the Ferrum offense, knocking down a trio of treys to propel the Panthers to the hot start. Roanoke then went on a 10-1 run spanning the next six plus minutes to answer and take control of this one inside Swartz Gymnasium.
The Maroons took control of the game inside the paint as part of their big scoring run, with Ethan Rohan and Brayden Gault featuring in the Roanoke offense. The Maroon advantage grew to seven at the halftime break.
Roanoke College opened the second half with a huge outburst from three-point land. Tripp Greene knocked down three treys and Joe Mikalauskas added one of his own to push the Maroon advantage to 52-35.
Down the stretch, Caleb McReed converted back-to-back three-point plays to cut the lead to 65-60, but Roanoke finished the game on a 15-7 run to shut the door on the Panthers.
