BRIDGEWATER, Virginia -- The Ferurm College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preview Saturday morning, hosted by Bridgewater College. There were seven women's teams and six men's teams in total at the preview.
THE BASICS
On the women's side, Washington and Lee took home the team title with a total of 44 points. The University of Mary Washington was second with 54 points, and Shenandoah University rounded out the top three with 83 points.
Individually, Elise Molinaro took home the title for Washington and Lee with a time of 24:12.5. Mackenzie Young was just over a quarter of a second behind Molinaro, taking second for Bridgewater with a time of 24:12.8, and Kelly Young finished in 24:29.0 to take third for Mary Washington.
For the men, is was Mary Washington dominating the track, winning with a total of 2 points. Host Bridgewater College found themselves in second with 78 points, and Eastern Mennonite University rounded out the podium with 82 points.
Individually, Matthew O'Cadiz and Patrick Brown took home first and second for Mary Washington with times of 26:53.9 and 26:54.8, respectively. Clay Kaufman finished with a time of 27:16.1 to take home third for Eastern Mennonite.
