Box Score FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference men's soccer game at home to William Peace University, falling 7-0 tonight at Penn-Roediger Field.

THE BASICS
The first 10 minutes were played fairly evenly, with both teams having scoring opportunities. Danny Alvarez broke through with a goal for the Pacers at the 12:27 mark. TJ Hurd stepped into a passing line as Ferrum was clearing the ball out, dribbled through the middle and made a pass to Jorge Lemus, who one-touched it over to Alvarez for the score.
Ivan Ponce made it a 2-0 game when he recovered the ball after a shot by Alex Hernandez deflected off Ferrum goalkeeper Chris Rodriguez and Ponce was there to put it away at 14:50, and the lead held through halftime.
It was all Pacers in the second half, as they outshot Ferrum 24-7 after the break. WPU scored five goals in the second half, including two by Travis Garner-McGraw.
