Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina -- Methodist University scored a late goal to earn a 1-0 men's soccer win over visiting Ferrum College tonight in front of 225 fans at Duggins Soccer Stadium. It was the season opener for both schools.

Following a scoreless first half, Trulls Ballo netted the lone goal for Methodist with 10 minutes left in regulation off a pass from Caleb Allen.
Ferrum had a few late opportunities down the stretch, but the Monarch defense held for the non-conference win.
