WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina -- Carolina University scored a first-half goal, then held on to beat Ferrum College 1-0 in men's soccer play this afternoon at BB&T Soccer Park.

Francisco Tapia found the back of the net at the 18:56 mark off a pass from Robin Salge, and the Bruin defense did the rest to grab the non-conference win. Carolina outshot Ferrum 18-5, but the Panthers closed the game with a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
