Box Score DANVILLE, Virginia -- Averett University netted two goals in the first half and added an insurance goal in the second stanza en route to a 3-0 victory over Ferrum College Friday night inside of Frank R. Campbell Stadium.

THE BASICS
It was all Averett from the start, as Rion Klass scored his first goal on the season from a Erik Blick pass to put the Cougars up 1-0 in the 6th minute. Agustin doubled the Cougar advantage in the 40th minute with an unassisted goal and Ferrum would find themselves down 2-0 at the midway point.
The second half was played scoreless until the 82nd minute when Leevi Partanen bested Panther substitute goalie Daniel Golden to put things out of reach.
