FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College lost both ends of an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball doubleheader with Eastern Mennonite University, falling 15-5 in the opener and 18-9 in the nightcap this afternoon at Panther Field.

GAME ONE
The Royals drew first blood with three runs in the first inning, then Ferrum answered with a run in the bottom of the frame on Nick Funk's sacrifice fly to score Dylan Sereno. Justin Brady's two-RBI double down the right field line in the third inning tied the game at 3-3. 

The Royals added two runs in the fifth inning, two in the seventh and four each in the eighth and ninth, while Ferrum scored two in the bottom of the seventh.

GAME TWO
The Royals started things off with a pair of runs in the opening frame, then exploded for 10 runs in the third to take control. Ferrum got three runs in the third inning, including two on Bryce Thacker's two-RBI double down the left field line. EMU tacked on a pair of runs in the fourth and four runs in the sixth to build an 18-3 lead.

Ferrum fought back, scoring five in the seventh inning, including two on Davis Yeaman's RBI double down the left field line. Kyle Ramsey's double down the left field line in the ninth inning drove in Ferrum's final run.
