BRIDEGWATER, Virginia – Ferrum College split an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) softball doubleheader with Bridgewater College this afternoon on the road, taking the opener 2-0 and dropping the nightcap 12-0 at Fulk Field.

GAME ONE
Lyndsey Sears' double to left center in the first inning scored Breanna Weaver and Arielle Eure and that's all the scoring either team would get in the opener. Sears improved to 11-4 in the circle with the two-hit shutout, fanning four batters.

GAME TWO
The nightcap was called in the fifth inning, as the Eagles scored four runs in the second inning, two in the third and six in the fourth. Bridgewater had two home runs, including Sarah Wimer's solo shot in the third inning and Melody White's pinch hit three-run bomb in the fifth.
