Box Score FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game at home to visiting Roanoke College, falling 8-3 tonight at Panther Field.

THE BASICS
Grayson Chitwood doubled to left field in the first inning to score Ozzie Torres and grab the early 1-0 lead. Roanoke scored a run in the third inning, then picked up two more in the fifth for a 3-1 lead.
Ferrum answered in the bottom of the fifth with a pair of runs on Chitwood's groundout to second base and Benjamin Thomas' single to right field, scoring Torres and Nick Funk.
The Maroons scored two runs in the seventh inning, one in the eighth and two in the ninth.
